You can go and buy thinner paper, draw a scroll like you did here and put candle wax on it. after this spread the wax with an hot iron. the wax will soak in the paper and make it very flexible.
when held in hand the paper will roll because of the hand heat.

you can even try burning the paper before waxing , or crumble it many times in order to get that worn out effect
