Although it`s not quite practical, especially in case of phones.
i mean i`m imagining myself holding a piece of semi rigid plastic in my hand and pressing it. also there is a huge risk of actually losing it Smile).
and trust me it did happen to me a lot of times even with bigger and heavier objects

I don't mean something as floppy as a bit of paper, just with enough give to allow it some decent durability.
